What is Fuel The Fire?

Fuel The Fire is an event that gives you the unique opportunity to help fund Cincinnati’s newest social entrepreneurs. Below is an quick overview of the event.

As a guest, you'll spend the evening learning about each applicant and their project idea. You'll cast a vote for your favorite project. And at the end of the evening, the project that gets the most votes is awarded a grant comprised of the evening’s ticket sale proceeds.

This year's event will take place at the MadTree Brewing Tap Room May 23rd at 6:30 PM.

$30 at the door, $20 in advance

Each guest will receive appetizers provided by Catch-A-Fire Pizza, one drink ticket, and a vote.

Our Presenters

RefugeeConnect’s “The Funnel” provides quarterly training to educate young adults interested in volunteering with refugees and places volunteers with opportunities to serve the refugee community.

Three Acts in Over-the- Rhine is Over-the- Rhine Museum's quarterly speaker series that presents Cincinnatians with the diverse and vibrant history of this neighborhood.

WatchWriteNow creates mobile film clubs that focus on the merger of critical analysis and creative expression and uses criticism to challenge budding young adults to develop their own distinct voices in response to presented filmed content.

Sparkle will create a support system for women who have suffered from sexual assault and harassment. By helping women focus on moving forward, a bracelet will signify unity and will help women Sparkle.

New Prospect Academic Incubator provides a practical eight-week training program that teaches software development to underrepresented adult learners through project-based learning experiences. Upon completion, it helps each student secure an entry-level developer position.

2015 Event

Over 170 people attended Fuel the Fire in 2015, awarding the winning grant of $2,500 to Never the Less, a charitable organization that provides education services to teen girls. An online “People’s Choice Award” of $500 was awarded to the Pan-Asian Leadership Council, an organization seeking to build a vibrant, united Asian-American community in the Greater-Cincinnati area.
