Sarah Habib is on a mission to give Cincinnati school children a big boost—by introducing them to the power of movement & mindfulness. Sarah knows firsthand how far some thoughtful exercise & meditation can go in improving health & reducing anxiety. She has been enlightened just like the Beatles, Jerry Seinfeld, and Kobe Bryant before her. And like us all, she remembers just how anxiety-inducing school can be!
To help students be their best every day, and get the most out of their years in school, Sarah started Mission 2 Move, an organization that teaches movement & mindfulness both directly to students and also to their teachers. That’s right— M2M is transforming students and teachers alike, so say goodbye to your local Sue Sylvester.
The fact is that this idea needs spreading, fast. Research shows this stuff works, and an investment in M2M pays off. School kids who go through M2M training are more aware of their emotions, in control of their behavior, and in-tune with their bodies.
In order to get this project moving, Sarah needs your help. She’s ready to roll out her magic in CPS schools this fall, but she needs a boost. A grant from Fuel the Fire would be just the fix. So please, come out to MadTree Brewing (3301 Madison Rd) on May 24 at 6:30pm to learn about how Sarah and M2M are making a difference in our city. See you there!
